Imagine routes of Poltva
Urban-theatre workshop
in cooperation with the Lviv State Theatre named after Lesya Ukrainka
and Kotsyuba Landscape Architecture Studio
Lviv, Ukraine, 2019

A three-day multidisciplinary workshop, that I have co-curated and co-led, bringing together actresses and architects to explore the psychogeography of the Poltva River in Lviv— a mostly hidden and partially underground river that is largely overlooked in the public memory of the city.

Participants engaged with the river as a living actor and a blind spot in public memory, using tools such as mental mapping, urban analysis, and performative practices.

By the end of the workshop, three groups created original performative pieces and urban planning proposals for the river’s future development.
